Recognising the difference and what you can do to change

New responsibilities.
The reward for demonstrating your skills, knowledge, expertise, postive attitude, focus on outcomes.
But it's taking you out of your comfort zone, you're having to rely on others, things are no longer in your control and your worries are all consuming, dragging you down...
Do you find yourself thinking
"It'll be quicker if I just do it myself"
"It's important that this is done right, too much is at stake"
"I just need to be kept up to date to make sure everything is okay"
"If I'm not involved something might go wrong and then I'll have to sort it all out"
"I started this and I just want to make sure it's delivered right, it's my name on it"
If so, you may be micromanaging.
Above is a sketchnote outlining some of the differences between leading and micromanaging and what you could change to move from micromanager to leader.
