Understanding the present

Building a clear understanding of where the team is at:

  • How they feel to be part of the team

  • What it's like to work within the team right now

  • What challenges the team are facing

  • How they see themselves within their organisation

  • How this fits with yours and other stakeholders perceptions and expectations

Assessing the past

Purposefully discuss what the team has previously been through and experienced:

  • How this impacts the team right now

  • What this might mean for different team members

  • What past legacy might still be shaping the present and the future

Looking to the future

Explore how the team can and want to strengthen the connections between themselves:

  • Support the team to develop approaches that build their collective resilience, that work for them

  • Help you and the team identify and try out new ways of working to help them deal with the challenges they are facing

  • Enable the team to build a vision which is inspires them and helps them manage stakeholder expectations

  • Develop a sense of accountability and empowerment within the team that helps them reach out to their full potential

How We Helped Develop a New Team Culture

“Following the creation of a new Library Experience Team we were looking to organise a series of workshops to support the development of the team and to help them reach their full potential. Sian and Debs created a bespoke package of sessions which allowed space for growth and discussion as well as a clear path towards our ultimate objective of ‘one team’.

They demonstrated an excellent understanding of the team and showed great flexibility in adapting the programme when different opportunities arose

Without these workshops I don’t think we would have been able to have supported the team in making so much progress in such a relatively short space of time.

The sessions helped us to develop a new culture and a sense of empowerment within the team.

The work Sian and Debs did for us was excellent and exceeded our expectations, I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”

How We Enabled Actions Agreed and Owned by the Team

“Thanks so much for the work you did with the team – you really helped us make progress.

Debs and Sian listened carefully to the needs of the team and created a bespoke programme of four full day workshops. During these workshops they developed the trust of participants and ensured that all were heard, using practical and memorable models, case studies and a variety of activities, while encouraging sharing and self-reflection.

They used a coaching style to enable participants to find solutions to issues that were discussed, and actions were agreed and owned by team members.

Sian and Debs created a space where empathy, humour, and appropriate challenge enabled a positive change in the culture of the team.

They collaborated with the management team in a flexible way, adjusting their plans as they progressed and depending on the team’s situation.”
